Time Flies

Well I know I promised pictures of Maui but I haven't got to it yet. I can't believe it is December. I swear it was just July. Here is a brief history of our Trip.

Friday November 7th: Message at Beyond Spa in Layton then to the Airport we went. We arrived in Maui around 8:30 their time. Went and checked out the Condo then went to the grocery store. Eggs $6.29 a dozen. 12 Pack of Pop $6.59 Smallest jar of mustard $3.59 Maui PRICELESS.
11-08 Went to the beach, then later we went on the America II sail boat. Had a blast!
11-09 Up by 4:30 met the Scuba Shack dive boat by 5:30. Did a few dives, not the best but pretty entertaining. Poor K.C. got sick on the boat. Thanks for feeding the fish.
11-10 Again up early to Dive, Dustin went Deep Sea fishing, caught some fish but none were keepers. Then we went on a shopping trip to Lahaina. Dustin and I ate at Bubba Gump's everyone else went to Hard Rock. We had such a great time with just the two of us. He bought me the most beautiful lei.
11-11 We just hung out at the beach then went to a Luau that night. The food and drinks were great.
11-12 We went on the very long and bumpy road to Hana. 70 miles and 9 hours later we finished. Next time we will ride in the "Fun Bus" with everyone else. We will thank Christy for the laugh of the day. We stopped at a rest stop and she had on a pink skirt and tank, I guess when she came out of the restroom she had tucked her skirt in her swim suit. A lady behind her said something to her about it and without hestitation Christy replied"Well thats how classy people roll" We had dinner reservations at Cafe Ole that night. Prime Rib was killer, the Long Islands were also not bad. Yum Yum.
11-13 We got up and went to the Zip Line. We rode with Scott and Lindsey in the Jeep. This was by far very entertaining. It was so fun to see everyone flying through the air.
11-14 Our last day, we got up and did some cleaning at the condo. Julie and Lou headed to Lahaina again. Dustin and I stayed in Kihei with Chad and Christy. I have to say I don't think I have every laughed so hard. "Thanks Chad and Christy" Then we went and got our Tattoos. Since Dustin was a tattoo virgin I had to watch. He got a Tribal band around his leg and I finally got my Shamrock on my back. Chad and Christy came just as we were getting done and we went and got something to eat then off to the airport. I can't believe it's over. But I can say it was by far the best vacation I have ever been on. Thanks everyone!

Aloha and Mahalo!

Just wanted to let you know that the day has come for my long awaited trip to Maui. I am so excited, I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight. I promise I will post pictures when I return. Mahalo!

Amazing...

The things that come out of kids mouths. I had to share this funny story with other moms who also enjoy kid humor. As we were driving home from day care last night here was the conversation.

Jaylee " Knock Knock"
Jaylee "Jace you say who's there"
Jace "Who's there"
Jaylee "Big Bad wolf"
Jaylee Telling Jace " Jace say What do you want"
Jace "Chicken Nuggets"
Jaylee " No Jace you say what do you want"
Jace "Chicken Nuggets"
Jaylee " No Jace you say what do you want"
Jace "chicken" he forgot the nugget part this time
Jaylee " No jace you say What do you want"
At this point they are kinda yelling at each other
Jace "I said I want chicken nuggets"
Jaylee " Jace you are not listening to me, Listen to me"
This is where I broke out laughing. She sounded exactly like me telling her to listen to me. Needless to say Jace and I never heard the rest of the joke.
She started the Joke again this morning but Jace was not even interested in playing, because he never got his nuggets.

To cut or Not to cut?

So Jaylee keeps asking me to cut her hair ( she would love it if we shaved her head) but I can't bring myself to do it. Although I curse when she comes home from her dad's house because he can't figure out how to use a comb and it takes me 30 minutes of me pulling and her crying to comb it out. I love it long, for those of you who know Brinley it reminds me or her hair. It's beautiful long and straight. But everyday she makes me put it in a pony tail, and it wont curl if it had too. So I would like to hear from you. Should I cut it to make our lives easier or leave it long and suffer?

Where in the world is.......

Where have I been? Last post July 27th? Are you kidding me. I can't believe it is October, I swear just lst week it was March. I can't keep up with anything. Here are a few example.
Jaylee's Homework her teacher would like 20 minutes a day on her reading words. So guess where we do it. On the way home from daycare in the car. Mind you she's in the back and Jace is always trying to spell right along with her. So does that count for her 20 minutes per day? Jace and potty training. I was doing so well 6 months ago then fell off the band wagon and just can't bring myself to day it again. Spo this weekend I tried. Failed horribly by the way. Example #3 Jace turned 3 September 25, we finally had his birthday party tonight. Nothing like a couple weeks late. I could go on and on, like I forget to feed the dog and cat, and the fish pond in the back yard I am so surprised they are still swimming. I have a list of things to do and no matter how late I stay up I can't get caught up. I guess that is what happens when you are a single full time working mom with two little munchkins. Jaylee told me tonight "Your mom is so nice" and I replied "I know she is a good nanny" and she without missing a beat replies "your almost that nice" I know I will never win mother of the year award.
Here is a list of my fun filled activites for the past few months.
August:
Yard work, work HUHH why can't I just win the lotto and stay at home?
Jaylee started first grade, so school shopping and trying to find food the school can actually feed her. Not the fun in the least bit. Jace dumps the whole bottle of fish food in the pond. Thanks Jace because I can't remember to feed them. Took the boat out once. Very sad about that, once the whole month of August. Next year it better be more.
September:
More yard work, although kinda annoyed at the neighbors weeds growing into my yard and on the verge of giving up. More work.... Still working on getting Jay's food correct through the school. My poor child has to eat the weirdest food and is so hard to feed. Worked in park city for 3 days, missed Jace's birthday because I was working. Again why can't I win the lotto?
This month: My family meaning Julie, Joe and Joanne along with my parents and my children and niece are flying back to Iowa for 6 days. I just love flying with kids. I have birthday's and of course the normal yard work. I took a different job at work and am currently working on both so behind in both because I can't keep up. But on a much better note, I have 33 days until we leave for Maui. I can't wait. I have been counting down for a year now and it's crunch time. Guess I better hit the treadmill hard this month so it doesn't look like Shamu washed up on the beach. This is a vacation with no children, just 30 or so friends.

Bear Lake

So the kids and I spent the last five days at Bear lake with my Family and Friends and had a blast. I took all the older kids out wake boarding and tubing and they had so much fun. They love the Taylor Swift "Our Song" so we blasted it. Joe has some trouble keeping things from falling in the water. He lost his wallet, eye glasses, cooking utensils, and a piece to the BBQ grill. Lucky for him Scuba Steve was there to retreive all of it. Here are a couple of Pictures of our fun.

Count Down is On.

So some of you may know that one of my Favorite all time things to do is Scuba Dive. We have been planning a trip to Maui for over a year and I started the count down today. I can't wait any longer. So as of today I have 115 more days to wait. Wow my impatience is really kicking in. Seven days of laying on the beach, Scuba Diving, and hanging out with friends is really calling my name. As of this date I am on my own but my friend KC promised to be my dive buddy. So if any one has any ideas or comments on how I should pass the next 115 days, I am open to your suggestions. I also started today e-mailing my friends and Family that is going a tip of the week. Here it is...
Drinking is not a solution, unless we are talking about alcohol.

My friend Nicole had this on her blog and I though that it was really cute, plus a really fun thing to document if you are using your blog as a journal. So....let's do this and take some trips down memory lane!

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. I can't wait to see what people remember

I'm Jasmine

Independent and adventurous. You don't want much; just to break out of the guilded cage society has put you in and experience life to the fullest. Following orders isn't really one of your strong points, and you would rather live a life of poverty than being forced into something that you hate.

Which Disney Princess are you?

Gotta agree with Bree!

Ok, so Jake's step grandmother gave me the Pedi egg for mother's day, and like Bree said it works wonders. I am normally pretty good about keeping my feet up because I can't stand sandpaper feet. But I tried it the other night and I love it. It's been a busy month and I just checked my schedule and it is only going to get worse. I am going to make the fun filled trip to Mesquite again for work. You guys are thinking that sounds like fun, but trust me it's not. I think I will take a couple of the books I have started and somehow can't find time to finish. I think I will make a base camp by the pool. Ok on to more exciting news. Veronica took our pictures last week and I got to see the finished product this week and I love them. I am so excited to get them and put them up. She did a great job and I would recommend her to anyone. I should have some in a couple of days so check back.

What the?

So the kids and I went to the Zoo and I said I would be a good mom and take pictures, but I failed. Pushing them both the in the stroller with one hand up the hills about killed me. Jaylee didn't feel well and about an hour into our adventure I couldn't get her out of the stroller. I did manage to get a cuple pictures, but I can't say any of them are my favorite. Jace's new thing to say this week is "what the?" good thing he doesn't finish it or I would have some explaining to do. But it's so funny when he says it I can't help but laugh. Some of the highlights this week are that I started puppy class with Jack our dog. That was very interesting, maybe it was just me. I sat next to the talker in the class and her German Shephard and by the time I left I was covered in dog hair. Little pet peeve of mine, thats why I have a dog that doesn't shed. I did get my cast off, I am free of that stupid thing. On the flip side Jaylee and I are still struggling with her food allergy's. She is starving and I am ready to pull my hair out because she can't eat anything. She enjoyed Cheerio's and Soy milk for the third time this week for dinner, as we ate pizza. They are running more tests and hopefully we get the results soon.

Where does all the time go?

So, I admit I have been quite the blogger slacker the past couple of weeks. Jace and I have been really sick and this was the last thing on my mind. Plus the fact that I am crippled with this stupid cast, it takes me five times longer to do everything. Including typing. Keep your fingers crossed that I only have one more week of it. The kids and I are going to the Zoo this weekend so check back for pictures. I will try and be a good mom and take some.

What a day!

Last night I finally saw JUNO. It was really funny. I highly encourage you to see it if you haven't already. So far it's been a slow day, cleaned the garage. Yuck!!! I went to take down the Christmas Lights and realized it snowed again. So I am putting it off until there is no snow on the roof. I know it's March and they should be down but not alot of time around here. I was thinking about becoming redneck and just leaving them up all year. The Annual St. Patricks Party is tonight. I am very excited for that, can't wait to see everybody. Check back for wild and crazy pictures of the evening. I better go run my errands and find my children.

Am I crazy??

So I thought I would let you all know that I am training to run the Ogden Half Marathon. So far it is kicking my butt. Hopefully I will make it. So any encouraging words or helpful hints would be much appreaciated.
March 10, 2008
Things have been pretty crazy at our house. Jace wont put Jaylee's "puter" which in his language means computer down. Jaylee is busy itching and scratching of course. Everyones knows she's my special needs child. We are seeing a new doctor and start Allergy shots next week. Aren't I excited. There is a light at the end of the tunnel for Skyler. He will be graduating on May 22. Yeah!!!! We are looking forward to going to Disney on Ice next Sunday. I will have to take out a small loan for the treats, tickets, and of course cotton candy.
