Where in the world?

Am I the only one that is completely lost upon entering the Riverdale Wal-mart. I know they are making the store better. But come on, lets get it done already. Just in case you are wondering, if you are looking for dog food it is conveniently located next to the bread isle. Canning jars have been moved last week I found them on the T.P. isle. This week I sent my poor sister to get me some and she found them in Lawn and Garden. My nephew is pretty sure as he was looking at Electronics that the spices had been moved next to the DVD's. Heaven forbid you have to ask an employee where something is, because they have no idea. What you are looking for milk, try in Health and Beauty next to the Tampons. Really I am done with Walmart until further notice.

Apparently!

Apparently cell phones can swim! So over Labor day we went to the dam for the weekend. Jace was on the boat having a snack and I was watching horse shoes on the beach. I looked down and he was standing next to me with my cell phone in his hand. He says "mom your phone was ringing" He was nice enought to "swim" it over to me. As I opened it water dripped out. I am so proud of myself, I didn't even get mad. Just said Thanks babe. He was so proud that he swam it over how could I say anything. I took it apart and let it dry for a day and to my surprise it is still working. Crazy Kid!

Bear Lake 2009

Well I survived the re-enactment of the Titanic this year. I have never had bad weather in Bear Lake but of course this year I thought a couple of times we were going swimming with the fishes. When the bow of the boat disappears under waves and every inch of the boat is soaked there might be a problem. Of course I forgot to take my camera but I am sure every one else got pictures. It was a fun trip and am looking forward to next year already.

Gone but not forgotton!

Yes, I admit to have fallen off the blogger side of the computer. I spend 10 hours a day at work working on two computers at the same time and to tell you the truth haven't touched my home computer at all. Can't even stand the sight of it. But just thought I better write at least once this year. We have been pretty busy around our house. Here's a brief rundown.

April----Don't remember
May 27---Skyler is Back!!! My nephew who has lived with me for awhile but went to spend time with his mom in South Carolina is back after 10 months. It's good to have him back. He means the world to me. He is one of my kids and I love him so very much. I hope he keeps his nose clean and that we have many more nights sitting outside just chatting.
May 29--Christy my favorite babysitter in the world gave her notice one year ago. I offically had a year to find a new sitter. But I just kept holding out hope that she would change her mind. She didn't! So for the last week I had to drive the kids out there I was almost in tears. Then on our last day I was writing her a Thank you note at work and broke down in tears. I had to put the note away. I finally finished when I was done crying. I drove out there to pick up the kids and as soon as I pulled into the drive way I lost it. I can't remember the last time I have cried so hard. she hugged me and then I cried even harder. I know you think I am a baby but when you have someone you 100% trust with your kids and you never had to worry it was just this feeling that they were always safe.
June 1st--Kids started the new daycare, lucky enough we had dentist appointments the same day so it was only a half day. So far so good at daycare. The dentist is another story. Taking my 6 year old to see an orthodontist seems kinda silly. But I will do what they say.
June 5-6 Beer Fest In Idaho Falls. What a blast! Need I say more the activity had the name BEER in it!

Other then those highlights we have been doing alot of yard work, NO MORE HOMEWORK (by far my favorite) Jaylee finished 1st grade. I was thinking at one point that we might not make it through. Jace is as funny as always. I just can't believe the things that come out of his mouth.

As the world Turns.....

Do you ever wish you could be the "Star" of a soap. Not me! I swear if it's not one thing in my life it's another. I guess it keeps it interesting. Something always going on. But for once I would love to be a "Star" of "Seinfeld" where the show is about Nothing, they never work, always eating at the diner, or going to movies and to have Kramer as a neighbor. Does it get any better? I do have the Annual "St. Patty's Day" party this weekend and I can't wait. YIPEE!

Can we take it home?

J and I went to have her blood test taken yesterday. For being a six year old she gets excited for this. I have no idea why. As we were waiting I was trying to have her look at me and tell me what she did at school but she wanted to watch and then got all tense. The nurse man started yelling at her and I kinda wish I would of said something to him but I didn't. Anyway I will get to the point of my story. As we were leaving he had all the blood in his hand and J said "Are we going to take it home?" I replied no honey we are not vampires so I think we should leave it here. I turned and looked and all the staff was laughing. It was funny. But maybe you had to be there.

Murphy's Law

So driving the big SUV that I do one would think I wouldn't be getting stuck in the snow. So here's how my Tuesday went. I got up took the kids to school, workied until about noon. Knowing I had to drive to Hooper pick up the kids and then take J to her Dr. appt at Mckay by 1:30. I made it fine to pick up the kids and up to the hospital parked and as I put the car in park it slide over close to the car next to me. I was in a hurry and they could still get into their car so we went inside and I figured I would deal with it with the appointment was over. So an hour later we come back out get in the car and it was a no go on getting out of the stall. Every time I backed up I got even more stuck and then slide sideways. Now I consider myself a good driver and even in four-wheel drive I thought I could get myself out of that mess. But nope. So I rocked the car back and forth and to no aveil still stuck. Then finally I see the guy that parked on the other side of me get in the back of his SUV. I got out hoping he had a small shovel or something that I could use to dig myself out. As soon as I walked aroung the car I realize that it was the Dr that did my surgery in September. Lucky for me I was soaking wet and he didn't recognize me. With him and I pushing and pulling I finally got out. We were supposed to go to Ogden Regional for blood work but never made it. There was no way I was going to get stuck there also. Yikes. Long post.

Dilemma, Dilemma....

So for the past week Jace and I haven't been seeing eye to eye. It all started with him cleaning his room. He has a toy box under his bed that until recently he didn't know even existed.(That's where I hid the loud and big toys) He has started to dump all the toys from every basket and that toy box on the floor and refuses to pick it up. So I threatened to throw them all away. Now I know I shouldn't say things that I don't intend to do. But after last night I think I might. I asked him to go get his PJ's and when he returned he had them.(what a good boy) But when I went up to tuck him in he had thrown everything out of his drawers. Not just piled them on the floor I mean thrown them everywhere.(This is where you picture them hanging from the lights, over the door, all over his bed) It was a mess. I thought my head was going to explode. I told him again I was going to throw them all away and his reply was "go ahead mom, just do it, I don't want them" What do you say to that? This morning I was telling the sitter the story and I didn't think he was listening but I guess he was, because as soon as I finished the story he looks at me and says. "just throw them away" So tonight after we get home I am going to load them all up and make a trip to the dump (garage) for now. Wish me luck!
